Upper Lakes Foods, Inc. is looking for a Dietitian. This is a Sales and Consultative position responsible for providing direct support.

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position interprets and implements all contractual requirements by maintaining contact with the customers, implementing and reviewing pricing agreements, and coordinating with the various departments. The Dietitian is also responsible for managing, monitoring and tracking the performance of all assigned accounts to insure that maximum sales and profits are being achieved, while exceeding the customer’s expectation for service. All applicants must be a Registered Dietitian. This is a full-time salaried position.

This position will require travel to customers throughout Minnesota and Wisconsin. This position may require working non-traditional hours (evening, weekends and holidays) in order to successfully meet customers’ needs.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for maintenance and identification of new sales opportunities within existing accounts
  • Develop meal plans, taking both cost and clients’ preferences into account
  • Evaluate the effects of meal plans and change the plans, as needed
  • Promote better nutrition by giving presentations about diet, nutrition, and the relationship between good eating habits and preventing or managing specific diseases
  • Make presentations outside of the office as often as necessary to maintain a solid customer relationship and as required to increase sales/penetration. To schedule sales calls in a planned and geographically organized manner in order to maximize efficiency
  • Keep up with the latest nutritional science research
  • Coordinates broker/vendor presentations and preparing marketing material for customers as needed
  • Responsible for communicating with assigned accounts on a continuous basis regarding new products and services, company changes, holiday schedules, item changes, and new sales opportunities. Updates customer on pricing/item changes or information
  • Responds timely to customer questions and inquiries and is courteous and professional to enhance customer satisfaction
  • Responsible for the creation and on-going development of customer communication including newsletters, new product notification, Serve safe class notification, menus, food show invitations, and other promotional material
  • Communicates with the various departments within Upper Lakes Foods, Inc. to provide vital information that may be necessary for servicing the customer
  • Ensures account maintenance (charts maintenance, pricing research, credit processing, and various other projects as needed)
  • Creates schedules, implement systems and monitor the progress and completion of all projects to insure deadlines and timelines are met. Communicate progress and results to Director of Sales
  • Communicates to customers and associates in a courteous and professional manner to enhance customer satisfaction with Upper Lakes Foods, Inc. and to create a spirit of teamwork
  • Perform administrative duties, such as maintaining sales records, processing credits and pick up request, prepare sales quotes and menu suggestions and filing reports
  • Other duties as may be assigned

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in related field, preferred
  • 3-5 years of experience in Foodservice operations, required
  • Registered Dietitian
  • Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets insurability standards
  • Self-motivated
  • Demonstrated leaderships skills
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient at Microsoft Office Suite
