Equipment Service Manager- Cloquet MN

SUMMARY:

The Equipment Service Manager position is to lead the service technician team through active and personal engagement of the customer experience as it relates to equipment placements. They possess an intimate understanding of our equipment placement and service at Upper Lakes Foods through measured return on investment activities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Reviewing previous day service call issues with service techs
  • Writing up chemical survey for Sunburst Chemical proposals
  • Reviewing accuracy of supplier bills and coding for A/R
  • Schedule equipment installation and delivery with customers
  • Report to sales management any service tech concerns found on program deficiencies at customer locations.
  • Establishing the preventive maintenance route list for service techs
  • Ride with sales team to further support the department on an as needed basis.
  • Ride with the service techs to ensure preventive maintenance and installations are meeting expectations.
  • Schedule training with service techs with support from supplier partners
  • Working with sales management on Return-on-Investment process for equipment placements and/or retrieval of equipment
  • Guide service team in equipment / product knowledge, territory, and account management.
  • Establish goal setting with team for clear expectations and strategies to obtain success.
  • Active engagement with the sales team and customers on a weekly basis.
  • Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the company, and the community; while maintaining professional competence, knowledge, and skills necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
  • Intimate knowledge and support of the sales department expense policy.
  • Constantly recruiting potential employment candidates to add to the Upper Lakes Foods family.
  • Seek out community involvement by becoming a public relations arm for the company.
  • Research and present on-going education opportunities for personal growth and development.
  • Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property.
  • Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
  • Performs such individual assignments as management and ownership may direct.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

  • At least 1 year experience in a supervisory role
  • 3 years’ experience Service Industry Equipment Installation & Maintenance

Skills

  • Knowledge and proficiency of the following systems:  Microsoft Office programs, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook, as well as the Internet.
  • Ability to operate basic office equipment i.e., copy machine and scanner.
  • Ability to be flexible, to be fair, and to function under pressure.
  • Great organizational and multi-tasking skills, with ability to think critically and solve problems.
  • Must be able to complete a project from beginning to end.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with Upper Lakes Foods, Inc customers.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Possess the ability to maintain positive relationships with customers, co-workers, and customers.

Certification, Licenses, Registrations

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record; must maintain per Upper Lakes Foods, Inc’s company vehicle policy.
