In a new report on nutritional and cereal bars, Packaged Facts found usage skyrocketing, and trends toward snacking and convenience will continue to drive the bar form’s success. Between 2009 and 2014, the number of adults using cereal/granola bars increased 11 percent, with 44 percent of adults eating them last year. In the past ten years, that usage grew 50 percent. Granola saw growth of 50 percent over the same period, while cold cereal saw 4 percent growth in comparison.
