About Upper Lakes Foods

Corporate Giving

Scott Sorensen, Shawn Sorensen, Katie Bull from Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank, and Susan Ryan with a Certificate of Appreciation for Upper Lakes Foods’ charitable donations, 2019.

Our commitment to family runs deep. This includes giving back to the communities where our customers are located. Each year, Upper Lakes Foods distributes thousands of dollars and products within the communities we serve. Our primary focus includes youth activities, breast cancer awareness and food distribution.

The need far outweighs our capacities. To help us determine if we can support your organization, we ask that you contact your account executive with basic information about your request. From there, a committee will review the request. The committee meets monthly, so please plan accordingly to ensure enough time for us to make a decision prior to when you need the gift and/or funding.

If you have any additional questions or do not have an account executive, please contact our offices.

Our support does not go unnoticed. Below are some kind thank you notes from our friends at Second Harvest Northern Lakes Food Bank

I wanted to say thanks once again for choosing us to receive and distribute the donations from your Fall Food Show.  Tim says it went very smoothly for us this year – I hope it did for Upper Lakes as well.  We picked up 3,956 lbs of food and much of it was really beautiful produce!

Dear ULF–

Thank you for including us in your spring Upper Lakes Food Show. We rescued 3,347 pounds from this event which is the equivalent of 2,678 meals.

We will feed more individuals and families than ever thanks to you and your support to our food bank.

In fact, we are rescuing and distributing a record 4.7 million pounds of food which is resulting in 3.8 million meals for people in need right here in the Northland.

Our work wouldn’t be possible without your generous contribution and we are only as successful as those who support our work!

As we continue to meet this record demand for our food and ensure no one goes hungry in our NE Minnesota and NW Wisconsin communities your continued support is appreciated.

Thank you, again, you are truly a part of our success story!

Sincerely,

Shaye Moris

Hi ULF–

It was so nice to speak with you on the phone. Your donation receipt is in the mail for your records. I just wanted to say a big “thank you” for your generous donation from the fall food show. 5,155 pounds will provide 4,124 meals to Northland residents in need. The HUGE increase from last year’s show speaks volumes of your organization’s commitment to feeding the hungry.

Thank you again!
