SUMMARY: The Truck Jockey/Fueler is responsible for backing tractors trailers into loading dock. They are also responsible for unhooking and hooking trailers from tractors, fueling equipment, and recording internal temperature of trailers.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Drive trucks as necessary. Hook up and unhook trailers and tractors safely and efficiently.
- Operating all equipment within the tractor and trailer including but not limited to, lighting, temperature controls, tandems, etc.
- Recording all necessary documentation pertaining to logging of temperatures, sanitation, and assignments.
- Adhere to Policies and Procedures as determined by Upper Lakes Foods, LLC. Perform other duties as may be assigned by supervisor
- Establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Company, and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge, and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.
- Poses no direct threat to the health or safety of himself/herself, of others, or to property. Defined as a significant risk of substantial harm that cannot be eliminated or reduced to an acceptable level by reasonable accommodation.
- Requires regular attendance to perform essential element as contained herein between the assigned start and end times for work.
- Performs such individual assignments as management may direct.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Education
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
Experience
- One to three months’ related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of and education and experience.
